Hello CSC Partners!

Hello Kingdom Partners! Thank you for coming alongside us in ministry by praying, volunteering, supporting CSC financially, and more! We have many opportunities here at CSC for you to partner with us! Please check out the different buttons below for updates and ways you, your church, and/or your local youth group can be involved. We appreciate you so much!

On behalf of CSC, the staff, students, and board, I want to say thank you for the love and support you give to CSC. Campus ministry is a critical mission for the church. The future leaders of our local and global communities are here now. What they learn here will train them to either dominate, use up, or care for the world that God has made. It is a world that He has given us responsibility for. Even as the state of higher education is constantly changing, these are still our future leaders in our churches, our civic offices, our community boards, our volunteer organizations, our workplaces, and our families. Part of the reason CSC exists is to raise up godly leaders who are contrite of heart (Psalm 51:17) and filled with the love of God that surpasses the knowledge they gain from a secular institution (Ephesians 3:14-21). More fundamentally, each member of CSC has been given into our care; to love them, to cherish them, and to grow them after Christ. We don’t always do it right, we don’t always do it well, but we do it faithfully, looking to the One who is ever faithful.

This year, we have lost at least two of our beloved members, Nathan Wainwright and Mark Nickolaou. Our hearts are heavy for their families as they continue on with loss. Our prayers are that they may be filled up with the remembrance of the good and the hope of the future. At the same time, we rejoice for the lives they lived, the love they shared, and the gospel message they brought to the weary. We look not only to their deaths but also to their lives in hope for what our current students may become. Though we will probably lose members every year, we also know that our loss is heaven’s gain. We know that what is heaven’s gain is our as well, as we are coheirs with Christ. Moreover, God is always bringing new members into the fold of both students and alumni.

In our current ministry, we look ahead in this season to changes and transitions. We say goodbye to our friend and gospel colleague, Jesse, as he transitions to shepherding a flock in Quincy. Simultaneously, our hearts look forward with joyful expectation to whom God will bring to us in his stead. We could not do it without your prayers, your hugs, your helping hands, and your financial support. As it is a time of Thanksgiving in our nation, may our voices be raised up to God in praise, adoration, and gratitude. This season is not always easy, especially when there is loss or change, but He is always good! May the words of Paul be enlightening for us, not only in campus ministry, but in our daily lives, “14 But thanks be to God, who in Christ always leads us in triumphal procession, and through us spreads the fragrance of the knowledge of him everywhere. 15 For we are the aroma of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing, 16 to one a fragrance from death to death, to the other a fragrance from life to life. Who is sufficient for these things? 17 For we are not, like so many, peddlers of God’s word, but as men of sincerity, as commissioned by God, in the sight of God we speak in Christ” (2 Corinthians 2:14-17). This season, may your life be every bit as aromatic, and more, as grandma’s turkey as you share gratitude your gratitude with God and others.
