During spring break, a couple CSC members when to Indianapolis to volunteer with FAME and ICOM. We helped out at FAME for 2 days and then ICOM for a half day before heading back to Macomb.

FAME is an organization that sends medical supplies and help to countries around the world that do not have the resources that we do. They send help and hope in the name of Christ to the world through medical evangelism. There are three main things that FAME does; sending medical supplies over, short term mission trips to teach and train the people in whatever country they are in, and long term missions. What we did while we were there was unpack, sort and organize, and then box supplies. There was a lot to sort through. We had to make sure that all the donations were not expired. After we had a certain number of a medical supply, we then boxed them. The boxes were tagged with the item, expiration date if it had one,  and how many there were in the box. It was really interesting to see all the different medical supplies that they had and how much of it they had.

International Conference on Missions, also known as ICOM, is an organization to encourage, equip, and enlist workers for the harvest. They have a 5 day conference that serves as a connection point for global missions. We helped stuff envelopes, tab newsletters, and stamp the envelopes. It didn’t seem like much to volunteer, but they were so grateful for the help.

Here is a video that I made about the trip.
